There are basically three tiers when it comes to loan amounts.
Throughout most of New Jersey, those tier limits are currently;
- Tier 1: Conforming Loans – loan amounts up to $484,350
- Tier 2: High-Balance Loans – loan amounts from $484,351 – $726,525
- Tier 3: Jumbo Loans – loan amounts of $726,526 and up
A jumbo mortgage loan is designed specifically for higher priced properties requiring mortgage financing in excess of Tier 1 & Tier 2 loan limits above.
